I don't remember where this recipe originally came from but its a holiday/family gathering staple at our home and children complain if they aren't on the table. They remind me of the yeasty rolls in grammar school.

Ingredients For bread machine yeast rolls

  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    warm water or milk
  • 1
    beaten egg
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    instant potato flakes, dry
  • 1/4 c
    powdered milk
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    yeast

How To Make bread machine yeast rolls

    Add ingredients in order of your bread machine manufacturer. Set cycle to dough.

    When cycle is complete, turn dough onto floured surface and let rest a few minutes. Cut dough into 12-15 pieces. Shape into balls and place in a greased container. I use a 12" stoneware baking dish with sides.

    Place dough in a warm place and let rise till doubled, usually about an hour.

    When dough has risen, place in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake 12-15 minutes or till golden brown. I will usually brush butter across the tops of the warm rolls to keep tops nice and soft.
