My daughter found this recipe in one of my cookbooks and started making them for afternoon snacks after school. Just goes to show the people in the South will fry anything! They are delicious appetizers served at many resturants.

Ingredients For fried dill pickles

  • 1 qt
    sliced dill pickles, drained
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 6 dash
    louisiana hot sauce
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 c
    plain flour
  • 2 c
    canola oil
  • 1 c
    buttermilk

How To Make fried dill pickles

  • 1
    Combine egg, 1 tablespoon flour, milk, worcestershire and hot sauce. Mix well with whisk. Set aside.

    Mix 3-1/2 cups flour, salt and pepper. Mix well.

    Drain pickles.

    Dip the pickles in the milk mixture; then dredge in the flour mixture.

    Deep fry at 350 degrees until pickles float to the surface. Drain and eat. They are good dipped in ranch dressing.
