This recipe was given to me by my sister-in-law Marie years ago. She used to make it for all of our family gatherings, and we all just love it. Marie did in fact add the pepperoni, which it did not call for in the original recipe. I'm assuming it was probably put out by Pepperidge Farm long ago. I've had this recipe for about 30 years now.

Ingredients For pepperidge farm party rye

1stick of pepperoni
-
1/2 cmayonnaise
-
1/2 cparmeson cheese
-
1/4-1/2 cminced onion

1loaf of pepperidge farm party rye bread--(the slices that are about 2 inces by 2 inches)

paprika (optional)
How To Make pepperidge farm party rye

1Mix mayonnaise, parmesan and onion

2Spread the party rye with the mixture--not too much on each slice because you don't want the bread to be soggy after it broils

3sprinkle with paprika--as much or as little as you want

4Put a thin slice of pepperoni on each slice of bread

5put under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes or until the mixture bubbles

6(please note that I put 5 minutes of cook time in the cooking category because I had to put something--but it only takes 2-3 minutes)
