While cleaning out some of my MIL's papers, I found a few of her old recipes. This is one of them.

Ingredients For zippy rarebit spread

4 oz. sharp natural cheddar cheese, grated, about 1 cup

1 pkg. cream cheese, 8 oz.

1 tsp. worcestershire sauce

dash liquie hot pepper seasoning
-
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

parsley sprigs, optional
-
ritz crackers
How To Make zippy rarebit spread

1Mix first four ingredients over boiling water or in a heavy pan over low heat. Cook,stirring frequently til smooth and bubbly. Blend in bacon bits. Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired. Serve warm with Ritz crackers. makes about 1 1/2 cups spread.
