party egg rolls
This recipe came to me by way of one of my Dad's employees who made the best party egg rolls I've ever eaten. She made them for every employee party we had.

Ingredients For party egg rolls

1/2 lbcooked salad shrimp, diced

1/2 lbgorund pork sausage, browned

1 cfinely chopped celery
-
1/2 ccoarsley chopped water chestnuts

1/2 cchopped, fresh green onions

2 tspsalt
-
1 tspsugar
-
1/8 tspblack pepper
-
1/4 tspworcestershire sauce
-
1/8 tspdark oriental seasoning
-
1 1/4 Tbspbutter, melted
-
1 lgegg, well beaten
-
1 Tbspsmooth peanut butter
-
2 pinchsmall square egg roll wrapers
-
peanut oil, for frying
How To Make party egg rolls

1Preheat a deep fryer or Dutch oven with peanut oil to 360 degrees.

2Working with your hands, mix shrimp, pork, celery, water chestnuts, green onion, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, oriental seasoning, butter and egg, in a glass bowl. Mix in peanut butter last.

3Roll 1 tablespoon mixture into egg roll wrappers and seal with water.

4Fry in oil till golden brown. do not crowd the fryer because it will lower the temperature of the oil and egg rolls will be greasy.
