I've made these for over forty years now and everyone loves them. They are really easy and very tasty. If I have leftover filling I usually place around caps and bake with mushrooms. Hope you enjoy them, we do.

Ingredients For stuffed mushrooms

1 lbbulk sausage, i usually mild

1 lbmushrooms, whole

2tbls of butter
-
1 pkgmozarella cheese

1sleeve of town house crackers
How To Make stuffed mushrooms

1Clean mushrooms and dry. Cut off stems.

2Cook stems in melted butter till brown.

3Brown sausage until done and drain.

4Place crackers into food processor and crush fine. Add cooked sausage and stems. Process until smooth.

5Place caps on cookie sheet. Add sausage mixture.

6Cut mozarella into strips to fit mushroom tops. Criss cross them. Bake in 350 degrees, for 20 minutes or until mushrooms are cooked.
