I make very similar ice cream cakes often varying the additives to the layers based on the guests preferences such as peanut butter, crushed snickers, heath bars, nuts, etc....
The one difference is I make them in a glass rectangular baking dish and not use the tin foil. I break the ice cream sandwiches to make them fit the pan. Even if I have to travel with this dessert and it softens a little, the baking dish keeps it neat and clean. You can also use layers of any of your favorite ice creams between the ice cream sandwiches.

My concern is the oozing also. I feel a little dumb here but are the sandwiches stacked flat side by side or on their side? Could you maybe show a picture of the initial layout of the sandwiches? Really want to try this one.

My email address is yesplease1227@aol.com. I'm planning on making it tomorrow night so it can be really frozen before it goes in the car for a half hour. Please send me your experience with this one. I don't want to be left scrambling without a cake it this doesn't stack properly. Should the fudge layer spread like peanut butter? I really think she'll love it!

Hi Guys,
Maybe making this for my daughter's high school graduation. My concern is stacking it all without the pudding/cookie/fudge layer oozing out and being a disaster. Anyone got any tricks to make sure that doesn't happen?
