that's exactly what I do. I get so frustrated with my husband not eating anything. I fixed Bea's little cheddar loaves and told him how good they were and he said, "you ruined them for me when you put that oatmeal in them"! You can't even taste the oatmeal. I cook what I want and he cooks his and sometimes I eat it but I cook a lot for myself and try these various recipes! I feel badly for your daughter! I can sure relate!!!

OH, Stephanie ... you and my daughter could really commiserate ... her husband will only eat MEAT, plain, unadorned MEAT, no sauce, nothing. My daughter, Emily, is a VEGETABLE LOVER, all kinds, bu not a vegetarian ... she eats all kinds of good stuff, and isn't afraid to try anything at all. Josh won't eat potatoes, NOTHING GREEN ..period! ... no sauces, no condiments, nothing. A plain cheeseburger is just that ...the meat and the cheese and the burger. When they first got married 1-1/2 years ago, she was really turning into such a nice little cook, but he "Ewwwww'd" at so much of it, it thwarted her desire to cook at all. So, she doesn't. He cooks what he wants for himself, and she does the same. When I go down to visit, she and i have a feast, which is simply a regular meal in her house. hah! With veggies, salad, dessert, etc. He's a P.I.T.A.!!!!!!!! Why did their mothers do that to them???????

I am going to make it again this weekend! It is a blue ribbon winner. I hear you Pauleta on the husband thing. Mine doesn't eat but about four items and he cooks for himself. I get so envious reading what everyone cooks for dinner and I fix for myself and share with my mom since my hubby won't eat it. I love to cook too!!!!

I love the comment about Brits ..."known to be cranky". That's funny.
Thanks so much for the compliment ...means even more, when I know you don't give them out "willy nilly". So glad you enjoyed it! Easy, too, isn't it?

It is good and I don't dole out compliments freely LOL Even my husband who never says much positive about what I cook just had a fit over it and he's British (known to be cranky) lol You gotta winner here, girl!
