Ice cream peachy enough for blue-ribbon win

Face it: A peaches and cream combo is a classic, in a complexion or in a cone or atop a cobbler.

That’s where Kay Skipper of Brandon recently placed a scoop of her homemade, recently churned peach ice cream. Between the warm cobbler and melting ice cream, taste sensations ticked all the treat boxes: warm, cool, sweet, creamy, fruity, crusty. And the fact my spoon was traveling too fast for the human eye to see? That was just to stay ahead of the melt. Yeah, that’s the explanation I’m sticking with.
