First off, I want to introduce myself. Here is a little about me taken directly from my blog (

Born and raised in Kansas and Missouri, I'm a Midwestern gal through and through. I have resided deep into the Missouri countryside making Brookfield and Kirksville my home, in the hustle and bustle of lively downtown St. Louis, and a few years in the breathtaking, sun-drenched beaches of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This is where I welcomed a new little life into this big world, my sweet Piper Jaimes. In September of 2010, I moved back to the mainland, right back where I started, immersing myself in culinary adventures with my tiny partner in crime. I always knew cooking was a passion, but never realized the extent until I moved from the island and into the world of modern conveniences once more. To have such freshness, variety, and quantity at one's fingertips is something that should never be taken for granted. When I'm not in the kitchen, or being Supermom, I retire my apron that doubles as a cape to relax on the back deck or a cozy recliner with an addicting book and a killer glass of wine.
