This will probably sound crazy but I'm always nostalgic lol...growing up my favorite sandwich was Land O' Lakes american cheese on Italian bread with a little mustard. That's it..and was in my lunch box probably 2-3 times a week..other days I had pbj or salami and cheese. Good ole days..ughhhh, wish I could turn back time to the 70's :(
I picked my first "LETTUCE" leaves from my extremely small garden today & they were crunchy good! It was for my grilled cheese (extra sharp white cheddar) & tomato sandwich...my tomato plants are still growing. But the Campari tomatoes I bought from Giant Eagle were sweet & delicious.
I sure did have fun and learned a lot in the challenges. I know your so busy now but maybe you could think about having something this summer. Here is a sammie I made just last night out of my own taste-buds and cravings....an old classic with new crunch and spice. See what you think and if it would be a sammie you would eat? Parmesan Crusted Spicy Tuna Melt
I've never had a turkey and cranberry sandwich, not until 5 years ago, and after I came across this recipe, which was posted by Emily Mathews at food.com. The turkey and cranberry sauce goes so well together, plus the bacon, mayo, and provolone cheese, brings this sandwich over the top. I love this sandwich, and hope others will give it a try!

I got back from Charlotte NC on Sunday where I competed inust the Macy's Great American Grilling Guru "Sizzle Showdown Semi-Finals-SouthEast Region. I won!! I'll be headed to NYC June 28th to compete in the finals in hopes of being crowned Great American Grilling Guru, $10,000 & a trip for winner and three (3) guests to New York City to view the 2015 Macy’s July 4th Fireworks Show. I'll keep you all posted. I want to personally thank Macy's for sponsoring a top toch contest. We were treated like royalty. Celebrity Chef Cat Cora "Iron Chef" was the judge and she loved all the dishes, but mine edged out my great friend Josee & Andre. Chef Sam Tolbert " semi-finalist and fans favorite Top Chef season 2" was the MC. Both were so down to earth. ♥♥
