Hi All, new to your group. Need some help... I am wanting to make a bunch of homemade cinnamon candy for an upcoming charity bake sale...but I am having a hard time finding my McCormick Pure Cinnamon Extract for anything cheaper than $4.18/fl oz.....YIKES! Our local Sam's Club doesn't carry it (saying it's seasonal....) I've purchased it from Amazon before but the price there has doubled since the holidays...
Wondering if anyone knows of a place to purchase this in a large bottle (16 oz or larger?) OR maybe if a different brand of the Pure Cinnamon Extract is just as good to make hard cinnamon candy? Please any advice is appreciated.... thanks in advance. :)
Our family enjoys this delicious, creamy, chocolatety tasting fudge for Christmas, or even on Valentine's Day. I like the fact that it doesn't take long to make, plus it's not overly sugary sweet like the other fudge recipes I've made or tried. Besides the brand name semi-sweet chocolate chips, I've also used the generic brand of "real" semi-sweet chocolate chips, which I've purchased from Aldi's, and this fudge still turns out great! Just be sure to use the canned sweetened condensed milk when making this fudge, not the canned evaporated milk. Stick to the exact ingredients listed in this recipe, and follow the directions as written, and your fudge will turn out perfect!
