My husband is great and when I ask for something he stores it in the ol' memory bank and buys it for Chrismas.... Well he bought the very nice crock pot and I only know one recipe. Can people help with great crock pot goodies?

my best g/f is an over the road truck driver and they have a converter plug that you can plug crock pot into cig lighter , one day they took what they had left in cooler and created this .

take 1 lb keilbasa , slice it up , take 2 cans tomato, corn , okra mix, put in crock pot, add 1 can chicken broth , 1c rice , and shrimp ( precooked works good ) add all to crock pot , put on low and cook for 6-8 hrs , can add more liquid as needed if necessary . hot and filling dish .

Hi! My husband and I belong to the local Y. Because of his work schedule (and the fact that I usually go with him to the Y instead of going on my own earlier in the day)we don't usually get to the Y until a little after 6p.m. and don't get home until around 8:30p.m. What I'm looking for, are recipes that are healthy and can be cooked in the crockpot so it's ready to eat when we get home from the Y. If anyone can give me a few good suggestions of the types of recipes I'm looking for on this site I would greatly appreciate it!! As it is now, I either grill something on the grill before he gets home and then let it stay warm in the crockpot, and bake a potato in the microwave when we get home or cook a meal ahead of time and then reheat it when we get home. I'd like to make dinner in the crockpot and just serve it up when we walk in the door. Thank you!!!

Wish more working mothers would take advantage of the Crock Pot ~ When I was working it was such a blessing to me ! My favorite was beef stew !
Homemade soups, pot roasts, corn beef, etc. so nice to come home to a meal all made for ya.

Great idea for this group ~
