Has anyone noticed that Wilton changed courses 1,2,& 3? they have been up-dated for today's decorator. figures, just when I finished all 4 they go and change them, I have to take all 4 again in-order to become an instructor....Wow!
WooHoo, I can't believe I am done with all of my Wilton Classes...wow that was a long 6 months but I am done and eager to learn more. We have a St.Patrick's Day party coming up in a few weeks so I started making the flowers; I took a stab at making a full sized Carnation yesterday but was really disappointed with how it turned out so I re-did them today but this time I did something a little different; I frilled the edges of each layer with the thin edge of my dredger tool instead of using the ball tool we used in class, they came out much prettier and look more realistic. I used the base (large) plus 4 large and 3 medium circles. I also made each layer very, very thin: see through which took some weight off of the finished flower. I still need to do the stems & leaves then color the edges.
I created Sugar Flowers because there was no group to be found in this category and I felt that we as artist needed a place to share our wisdom, skills and knowledge with not only ourselves but with others who are willing to listen and learn. No need to post recipes here, we are all about skill and technique here.....Recipes are welcome but not necessary.
