I am changing this group description to a more relaxed set of rules. First of all I think it would be so much fun to have a group that we can share a few tales about ourselves or a tale of days gone by in history.
Everyone is invited to join in and share a tale of your family, pet, or an important event in days gone by or a new event you would love to give us a update on.
Only one rule here, sit back relax pull up a keyboard and start telling us your adventures.
No offensive language please
No sharing of off color jokes or slurs of any kind toward another race or religion
No fighting among your fellow group member
If you do not approve or like what you read them please just pass on by it.

Lets start over and have fun

Happy New Year 2014 message from Alaska

I'm excited because we are determined to make this year a better one. It's just me, my husband. and our hamster; any cute hamster story is fun to share - keep reading. May 2013, my husband had a stroke less than a month before our 10th anniversary. Challenging news - it was fairly severe. Good news lots of it - he lived, he's young 53, he's getting better, and we are open to all channels, ways, and means of healing. However, Prayer is my favorite. Anyhow, with little support here, I enjoy hearing peoples stories and successes. It helpes to have a good sense of humor, and our hamster keeps us laughing. One of ours got out and made a nest in my husbands gun case. I guess she was trying to protect us from an intruder. I wish you all a healthy and happy 2014.

I hope everyone is doing well today. We're in for another hot day in Tennessee, but it sure beats the rain!

What have you got growing in your garden in the middle of August?

Let's share some recipes for August bounty. My favorite is cantaloupe, and we like it fresh, just sliced - salt optional.

What do you like?

Hello Ladies!!!!
We are back from a fabulous vacation. It has been quite an adventure. most of our time was spent in the Great Smokey Mountains, and I have to say, it is like the most breath-taking, most beautiful place we have been to yet. We have travelled a lot around the country but this is one of our favorite spots. It did rain a lot at first but we made it through. We met some wonderful people who helped us find the best tourist places around the area and I have to say that I think we even picked up an accent. I wasn't always able to check into JAP as we didn't get real good reception in the mountains. So we usually came down to the cities to keep in touch with family. I've already been on JAP catching up and have seen a lot of neat stuff so give me a chance and I should be posting some new things myself. Great to be back and hope everyone is doing well.

What do you think about all the SCAMS going around the internet??

Some of our friends had their computer hacked and someone sent out letters to a bunch of us, like it was from them.....BUT it wasn't.

I will put the email down below so you can see what the hackers are doing then you can be aware, and watch out for them.

I am sorry for reaching you rather too late due to the situation of things right now.My family and I had a trip visiting Manila Philippines, everything was going on fine until last night when we got attacked by some unknown gunmen. All our money, phones and credit cards was stolen away including some valuable items, It was a terrible experience but the good thing is that they didn't hurt anyone or made away with our passports.

We have reported the incident to the local authorities and the consulate but their response was too casual, we were ask to come back in 2 weeks time for investigations to be made proper,But the truth is we can't wait till then as we have just got our return flight booked and is leaving in few hours from now but presently having problems sorting out our bills here and also getting a cab down to the airport, Right now we're financially strapped due to the unexpected robbery attack, Wondering if you can help us with a quick loan to sort out our bills and get back home. All we need is (2,500 $) I promise to refund you in full as soon as I return home hopefully tomorrow or next. write back now to let me know what you can do.

Thank You, Robert

For one thing, he never signs his emails "Robert".
And they were at home, not out of the country.

They were not in the Philippines

They were not attacked.

They are not trying to get home from the Philippines.

It was all a scam to extort money from their email addresses by the person who hacked into their email.
