We are all so busy now that we have retired! It's getting harder to find time to get on JAP and cook. Maybe, I'm just too tired and spend a lot of my time just chillin'. Anyway, I hope that you are all doing well!
New to JAP. Have been surfing this web site. Amazing!! I retired in September
of last year. I can not believe almost a year has gone by already. I am doing
projects I only dreamed of before. I learned to crochet in April. Made our
new granddaughter an afghan. I have taken up puzzles. Love to read also.
Also do many DIY projects. Times out with the girls are not hurried.
Just noticed that the last posted discussion was in October of 2012!!! I know that we are retired and have far less time to do everything now than when we worked! LOL It's true! There are not enough hours in the day to do everthing I want to do. I've finally (after 2 years and 2 months)learned how to relax and even manage to sneek in a nap during the day (without feeling guilty!) I think my new carefree lifestyle has a lot to do with the hours just flying by. Actually, I seem to be in great demand. Family and friends need me to help them out or want me to go somewhere with them. There is always something going on. I hardly have time to cook!! I am happy to be able to help or just spend time with my loved ones. It is great not having to ask permission to be off from work. I'd love to hear how everyone else is spending their "free" time. Housework is calling my name so I'd better get busy before another day has dissappeared.
Hello, My name is Priscilla and my husband and I live in Maryland. I retired 2 years ago at age 62. We have no children, but alot of nieces and nephews who we are close to. My husband is still working, he is 5 years younger than me. He loves to eat and I love to cook so we're good together. I'd like to hear from everyone, but especially from people in my age group.
I just had to share with you all. My granddaughter sent us the picture of the 4-d ultra sound of our great grand baby girl(Teagyn) She is due to present herself in November. In the picture you can see fingers, and face. Amazing technology!! I think back when my children were born and the advances that have been made since then. I am really speechless....
