Happy Eating to all

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. Sorry I haven't been on here for awhile. Been down and out for quite awhile. I'm 80 and when you get to this age, things happen. I'm still alive though and there is something to be said for that. Love and good eating to all. Merry Christmas and keep those recipes coming.

Thanks Pat Duran

Pat. I see you are one of those that still cook and bake. Lots of recipes going out from you.

I've been under the weather for awhile so that's why nobody has heard from me. I keep track of what is going on though.

Hope all is well with you. Thanks again.

Don't over 70's people cook anymore?

Where are all you over 70's people? Don't tell me you don't cook anymore? I would think you would like to have your life long recipes put out there for everyone to enjoy. I have many more from my file I could put out there, but i didn't want to hog the whole thing. Where are you? Let's hear from you.

To All Over 70's but not the Hill group

Good Morning Ladies: I hope someone tries the Cashew Cookies recipe I posted and lets me know what they think of them. I have so many asking for this recipe. It is the best cookie I have tried in a long time.

I took it to the hospital I volunteer in and now everyone is making them. Hope you will try them and pass them around too. Happy baking. Elizabeth

When I joined this group last week, I didn't take time to introduce myself, so will do that now.
I'm 72 (well, ok. 73 next month!). I live in Greensboro, NC and have lived here most of my life...grew up here, so I am Southern, born and bred.
My husband and I are both retired, and are in good health. We are enjoying life. We are very involved in our church, volunteer for several community organizations and enjoy traveling. We have a "Bucket List" we are working on, and have a small house on the Outer Banks of NC. that we enjoy

during the Summer and Fall. (Hurricanes make me extremely nervous!!)
Our 4 children, 7 grands and 1 greatgrand don't live nearby so we don't get to see them as often as we would like. But our empty nest is filled with two very lovable
fur babies...a bichon and a little silky terrier. I'm looking forward to sharing recipes, thoughts, joys, sorrows and memories with this group.

Growing old is not an option.. however, growing up is..
I'm a 73 year old grand and great grandmother living in Nebraska. Need easy recipes that don't try and feed a farm family of 15, just 2 people. Don't care for leftovers either.

Hello to all in my group Over 70 But Not The Hill

Just wanted to welcome all of you again. Let us know when you post some recipes so we can all try them. I received an e-mail from Beverly Correia and she has posted two that I know I'm going to try. Pork and a Chicken recipe.

Love Pork and I am always looking for new ways to cook chicken.

I'm presently working through some pain. I have Frozen Shoulder Syndrome, so that's why I am not on the site too much. Arms are very sore and it is into my left hand also. I can't type too long. I have to keep stopping and rest it.

I hope you will excuse my lack of welcoming in all my new friends in the group.

Anna Mae (My middle name also) Pat, Beverly, Diane, June and Janis, I would really love to know where everyone lives. It will be like taking a trip around the country. Got to have fun where one finds it. Right? Don't need to give details, just the City or State.

I'm Chicago born and raised. Since 1965 I have been in California. Widowed and living in Northern Ca.
I'm retired and got bored, so I volunteered at the local hospital and work in their Gift Shop. Have just become the Chairman of all the Gift Shop volunteers. Do the scheduling, filling in when needed, attending meetings, etc. Having a hard time getting people to volunteer. Strange. I love it.

Well, hope to hear from all of you. And please...don't be offended if I don't get right back to you. I will try my best. Stay well, and keep on Cooking. Elizabeth
