I am interested in beginning a Food Swap here in Spokane. I am hoping others will want to join me and we can share information.

What is a Food Swap

A food swap are events where members share homemade, homegrown, or foraged foods with each other. Food Swaps allow members to make trades of their homemade food product or the food they have grown in their gardens or even the foraged foods they may have
Food Swaps allow members to make trades of homemade, homegrown or foraged food between other members.
If you make an awesom loaf of bread, bring it to a food swap and trade it for someones dozen eggs or a jar or two of jelly.

Bring an assortment of your homemade or homegrown or foraged food items to exchange for other homemade, homegrown or foraged food items

... Everyone will than offer trades in a silent-auction type format, and than you are also free to choose which trades to accept for your food item. Or to not trade if you feel so inclined.

Please label items that cause comman allergies, ie, nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish or wheat to name a few.
Other labels that are helpful would be gluten free or diary free.

You may want to include instruction such as 'keep refridgerated" or 'keep frozen until ready to use"
