No More Icy Steps or Sidewalks

For icy steps and sidewalks in freezing temperatures, mix 1 teaspoon of Dawn dish washing liquid, 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol, and 1/2 gallon hot/warm water and pour over walkways. They won’t refreeze

Wow! I'm going to try this. Maybe it won't mark the sidewalks like salt does. Only thing is, we haven't got any snow or ice here yet - but maybe in January.

So far, have not been able to try this out.

Will the soap do anything towards my plants and grass? Not being a gardener (yet), I have a few green things and want to keep them as such.

Tina,
I'm not sure if it will hurt your plants or grass, just be careful how much you pour onto your steps, ok?
