How did your cookbook collection start? Perhaps someone gave you a gift and it started your romance with cookbooks, or you inherited your family favorite cookbooks.

It will be interesting to hear how and why you started collecting cookbooks and what are your favorites.

Do you collect regional cookboooks, antique cookbooks or one type only, please share your thoughts.

If you are a cooking newbie, perhaps you will find the perfect cookbook for you to start with.

Link to old vintage cook books PDF Files

I stumbled upon this site for old vintage cook books, and such that are archieved by this university, you can download the pdf's and read later when you have time, some of the books are from the 1800's and have recipes, crafts etc.. MY fave is Mary at the Farm, i got a kick out of the way they described how to prepare some of the dishes, The Italian cook book is good too. Quite a few books to look thur.. you can few as a pdf or online view , really interesting information. Kuddos for saving these wonderful treasures,

The Mary Frances Cook Book , My grandaughters loved to read this one . I had to finally print it out so they would'nt hog my laptop... LOL

Enjoy.. I know I did

Old cookbooks can be interesting. I found one that had my relatives from 1900.
