Hot chocolate is a great treat in the winter. Chocolate, milk and a bit of whipped cream on top, it always seems to evoke a smile. We’ve come up with a few ways you can jazz up your basic bag of hot chocolate.
1. Peppermint Pleaser
Add 1 tsp peppermint extract to hot chocolate. Top with whipped cream.
2. Hazelnut Heaven
Drizzle 2 tbsp hazelnut spread into prepared hot chocolate.
3. Caramel Delight
Prepare hot chocolate. Add 3 tbsp of store-bought caramel sauce and stir until combined.
4. Irish Dream
Add 1 shot of Irish cream to hot chocolate. Top with whipped cream.
5. Coconut Breeze
Prepare hot chocolate with coconut milk. Top with whipped cream, toasted coconut and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
6. Chocolaty Chocolate
Grab a handful of chocolate chips and pour into a mug. Prepare hot chocolate with water and stir.
7. Spicy Hot Chocolate
Stir 1 tsp of cinnamon into prepared hot chocolate. Add a cinnamon stick and top with whipped cream.
8. Boozy Hot Chocolate
Take a liquor, like Kahlua, blackberry brandy, Frangelico or Grand Marnier, and add 1 shot to prepared hot chocolate for and adult treat.
